Course objectives:
• Identify the roles of the fiber, textile, and apparel industries in the international economy.
• Recognize the concepts, theories, strategies, and regulations related to global sourcing.
• Identify the overall process of global sourcing, from supplier selection to purchase order and payment, and the role of sourcing
manager in each step of the process.
• Examine important issues and trends related to today's global sourcing.
• Develop critical thinking skills via class discussions of global sourcing issues and trends.
• Develop a sourcing plan and collaborate with others via a group project.
